James Tiernan has been at Unite Students since 2012, and leads the Sustainability Team. He played a leading role in setting Unite Students net zero carbon targets and pathway, and wider sustainability ambition. The team are responsible for implementing energy, carbon, water and waste improvement measures, and for supporting the wider business and Unite residents to adopt lasting responsible living and working habits. Before joining Unite Students, James worked as an energy and sustainability consultant in the construction and real estate sectors. He is a qualified Mountain Leader and enjoys the great outdoors.
