Arun Thaneja is the Technical Services and Sustainability Director at Winvic Construction where he leads the company’s ambitious Sustainability and ESG strategy with a strong focus on creating a sustainable supply chain. With over a decade of experience in sustainable construction, Arun has become a pivotal figure in advancing carbon reduction strategies, sustainable procurement, and the use of innovative low-carbon materials in the construction industry. A former Chartered Architectural Technologist and BREEAM Assessor, Arun’s passion for sustainability emerged early in his career, where he developed a deep understanding of green building certifications and carbon management. His expertise now extends to whole life carbon and operational carbon, making him a thought leader in sustainable construction practices. Arun spearheaded Winvic’s collaboration with suppliers to integrate low-carbon materials and environmentally responsible practices into its construction projects. His leadership extends beyond the company, through his active involvement with the UK Green Building Council (UKGBC) and Building Research Establishment (BRE), where his commitment to sustainability is not only transforming Winvic’s project delivery but also setting new standards for the entire construction sector.
