Carl is a career sustainability professional with over 25 years’ experience working in the field and has seen the industry develop from being a niche area to a core business opportunity that actively drives value creation. He has spent the past 17 spent in the Real Estate sector working with developer/managers, boutique advisory firms, and most recently with CBRE, the world's largest real estate services organisation. Carl is the Global Head of Sustainability in CBRE's Property Management business, which is responsible for the management of approximately 3.2bn square feet of real estate for Investor clients, comprising over 19,000 individual properties, in 41 countries worldwide.

As a strong advocate for ensuring sustainability becomes a core competence for everyone involved in the real estate lifecycle, Carl has specialised in the development and implementation of solutions and services to improve the performance of Real Estate assets, funds, and portfolios around the world. His focus on operational management for much of his career reflects his belief that the delivery of sustainability in the sector relies on every individual asset playing its part, and the deep knowledge of the teams running those assets, along with the data they generate being the two most fundamental levers Investors have to achieve their goals.

As a member of CBRE's global sustainability leadership team, Carl leverages his insights from implementing sustainability into property operations to inform organizational strategy. He also ensures accurate and comprehensive reporting of Property Management's footprint, contributing to the achievement of CBRE's organizational goals.
